100% recycled plastic, 80% of the energy comes from renewable sources.
Growing up in our beautiful Abruzzo, Giovanni Sacchini has learned respect for the environment and even his sons continue with the same commitment. Fabrizio graduated in environmental engineering and with the continuous growth of Metalchimica, both Fabrizio and Luca understand that success cannot come at the expense of the environment. They therefore decide to invest heavily in green energy sources and technologies that allowed a drastic reduction of the carbon footprint of the production site.
In 2012 panels were installed at the Metalchimica production site while the methane cogeneration plants were installed in 2016. With the use of solar panels, Metalchimica avoids releasing 6,292 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year, equivalent to the emissions of 130 cars in a year.
Since 2007, 80% of the energy used by Metalchimica for the production comes from renewable sources and continuing to look for ways to reduce, if not completely eliminate, its carbon footprint production. After all, the Sacchini family firmly believes that "the world we leave to our children is our last legacy”.
